Become a Umpire, Free Classes and Mentoring.

It will save everyone money during your registration.

Hello Everyone,

I want to give you all a heads up on some upcoming umpire training that will be happening this month as well as in the coming months.  We will be starting our fall classes on Monday August 30, 2016 at the pressbox at ARC.  The classes will be from 6:30-9:00.  We will skip Labor Day and then pick back up on Monday September 12th, September 19th and end September 26th.  These classes are open to anyone who would like to get training on rules as well as how to use a lineup card to keep track of substitutions during a game, how to do a plate meeting at the beginning of the game with the managers, positioning for plays, etc.  We have had people who have taken this training in the past year who have worked All-Star games this year.  It is open to anyone 12+ years old.

We also are helping to staff and sponsor upcoming mechanics clinics that are being put on every three weeks.  I am going to paste the information on these clinics on the bottom of this email.  We are looking for leagues within District 5 who would be willing to host some of these clinics.  If you are interested in hosting or have questions about them, please let me know.

These classes and clinics are there to help all of us help the youth we have been entrusted to guide through the Little League Program.  They will only work if the information gets out to the members of our leagues and districts.  Please send the word out to everyone you can so that we can continue to enjoy a quality program.
